Farm Credit Services of America & Frontier Farm Credit – RAMP Phase 1

The Challenge

Farm Credit Services of America works to provide sound and dependable credit to America’s farmers, ranchers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and rural residents. Quickly becoming their clienteles most valued-financial partner, the organization entered a significant expansion phase, resulting in an increased need for training new teammates. To equip new staff to be the most proficient in their responsibilities in the shortest amount of time for their customers, Farm Credit Services of America sought a training program that would establish foundational learning outcomes for all roles, as well as a set of job-specific competencies for select roles including Customer Service Specialist, Account Specialist, Financial Officer, etc.

Vivayic’s Solution

As experts in best practices for learning design and development, Vivayic joined forces with Farm Credit Services of America and Frontier Farm Credit team to create what is now known as RAMP, an appropriate and role-specific training for new hires entering the organization.

Through onsite clarity development and design, Vivayic developed a program model, a three-phase learning journey for all users, and entire visual identity for the program. Recognizing that change within any organization must be handled with care and thoughtful understanding, a change management strategy was designed and implemented with the launch of RAMP to produce positive organizational outcomes.

The Outcome

The implementation of RAMP as a training program provided efficiencies during the onboarding process of new hires and ensured a standard of core competencies were taught across the entire organization, regardless of where the teammate was stationed. The RAMP program model provides a standard approach for creation of future training initiatives of Farm Credit Services of America and can be used for all job functions, even those less tactical in nature. Originally uncertain of how each role would be executed during a time of expansion, the development of RAMP provided Farm Credit Services of America and Frontier Farm Credit a clear, comprehensive, yet tailored training program to successfully aid their organization’s evolution.
