At Vivayic, we’ve lived this challenge. We outgrew our informal onboarding process and needed a formal, scalable, yet personal approach to onboarding that aligned with our people-first values.

How Vivayic Built a Better Onboarding Experience 


To meet the needs of our evolving remote workforce and preserve company culture, we asked these key questions:

  • What are our priorities? 🎯
  • Who is the target learner? 🤓
  • What will we create to meet our needs? 🗺️
  • What does success look like, and how will it be measured? 📏

To meet our needs, we designed a three-tiered onboarding approach. The three tiers include:

  • Company onboarding which focuses on culture, operations, and tools.
  • Functional onboarding and academies which include custom learning paths focused on core role responsibilities.
  • On-the-job training which allows new employees to learn by doing with real time coaching and mentoring.

This approach was piloted and iterated based on feedback from the team. We continue to use this approach today and iterate as needed based on the changing landscape of our team and our business.
